So hard to say goodbye . . .

Well, Logan left on Friday to go live with his Great Aunt and Uncle. We are still here. I've been amazed by how well the kids are doing. They are all taking it very matter-of-factly, and understand that he is still ok and happy even though he isn't living with us anymore. They are already wondering when we are going to get our next foster child.

These are the cute pictures the kids drew for Logan to take to his new house with him. (the girls spent a lot of time making them)

It was SO hard for me to say goodbye to him and then hand him to his uncle and walk away. I was crying buckets for the rest of the day. But, it is getting easier now. We really miss him of course, but we are doing ok. In fact, Saturday and Sunday we enjoyed conference and spent alot of time together as a family decorating for Halloween. So, I guess life goes on . . .

  1. I'm so sorry you had to say goodbye. Maybe, just maybe, it could be a 'see you later' kind of thing! :)

  2. Sometimes life is so hard. Have you thought about keeping his name and DOB, etc. so that you could follow him and maybe send the missionaries to him when he is older. You could leave a note for great grandchildren to make sure that his temple work is done.

Good for you and the kids for being able to adjust to this so quickly.

See you in a couple of weeks.

    Love, Mom
